According to Matt Cutts

Have you noticed how we SEO’s love to use the phrase “according to Matt Cutts?”
The blogger and head of Google’s Webspam team has become an authoritative source for organic search marketers. If you’re a SEO and happened to find yourself backed into a corner and being assailed by rankings performance questions, it is refreshing to be able to quote Matt Cutts. It sure beats the old days of quoting ourselves. It is also entertaining to observe a room full of execs fall silent after hearing the words: “According to Matt Cutts…” Let’s do a little popularity exercise and see how many Google search results for “according to Matt Cutts” (with quotes) appear today compared with other “according to” searches:
“According to Matt Cutts” - 539 Google search results
“According to Sergey Brin” - 265
“According to God” - 425,000
