I appreciate the thoughtful comments. One aspect of doing a meme like this is that it forces me to think about things. I guess you could say the unexamined blog life is not worth living.

I have to agree that writing and engaging the audiences with insightful content is one of the most important parts of maintaining a good blog. I am always under so much pressure from my workload that when I get inspiration to write a blog post I do end up rushing some of my posts. There are days however where im a bit more relaxed that I take the time to fully research the content I am posting and really read and re-read what I am posting. There are some posts on my blog that have literally taken me hours to write as I have made sure that I covered my topic and sources correctly. The points you have made though are all valid and will probably make me think a little bit more about each article before I post in future.

I think writing well is the main part of any blog. If you don't write properly no one would come and visit right? Besides, blogging is about passion not about ads.

I agree with the point about writing well. I often find myself rushing through a blog post and not checking it before posting. This is due to the rushed nature of the Internet, passionate feelings about a subject, or carelessness. You can also bet that someone will point out ever grammar and spelling error if I don’t find them first.

Glad you decided to participate Emory. I think you know I agree with tip #1. I think it's by far the most important aspect of a successful blog. #3 is one of those tips I need to work on more myself. I know that images will improve the design of a post, make it more scanable, give visual cues. and simply add interest, but still forget to add them all the time. I'm embarrassed to say it's just laziness on my part. By the time I'm done with the writing I generally don't want to go looking for or creating images to add to the post. It's a good point to make use of them though and something I need to remind myself to do more often.
